Render every layer variation in one pass

1 · Choose what’s visible

Click the eyeball on any layer to show or hide it — just like AE’s timeline. Set up the exact look you want for this variation.

Lots of layers? Type in Filter to narrow the list, then All / None to flip just the filtered layers at once.

2 · Save it as a set

Click Save current visibility as set. It appears in the Sets list with an auto-rendered thumbnail. Click the name to rename it, or the colored dot to give it a label.

Repeat for each variation — set the layers, save. Sets live inside your project and come back every time you open it.

3 · Preview any set

Click Show on a set and the comp instantly switches to that variation. A banner appears with Restore original — one click puts your layers back exactly as they were.

Previewing never changes your saved work — it just flips visibility so you can compare, then restore.

4 · Render them all

Tick the sets you want (or none, to do all), then click Queue all or Queue selected. SoloRender duplicates your comp for each variation and adds them to After Effects’ Render Queue.

Then just press Render in AE’s Render Queue as usual — you choose the output format and folder there. When you’re done, Clean up removes the temporary comps.

Your original comp is never touched — every variation renders from a throwaway copy.

5 · See every comp’s sets at once

The Project tab gathers the sets from every comp in your project into one list — grouped by comp or sorted by name. Hit Go to jump to a set’s comp, select sets across comps and queue them together, or delete a set from any comp without switching to it (it’s undoable in AE).
